Configuration using KPG-101D• Configuring the Data (Refer to FPRG 6.6.14Data.)15.2.12 ScramblerVoice Scrambler can be used to scramble speech toallow users to communicate in private. (Refer to 26 VoiceScrambler on page 124.)Voice Scrambler can be configured to be enabled ordisabled by using KPG-101D. Configuration using KPG-101D• Configuring the Voice Scrambler (Refer to FPRG6.6.15 Voice Scrambler.)15.2.13 Scrambler CodeThe Scrambler Code can be configured. (Refer to 26Voice Scrambler on page 124.)Scrambler Code can be configured by using KPG-101D.Two types of scrambler are available. The transceivercan be configured to use a built-in scrambler or anoptional scrambler to be installed in the transceiver. Asfor the Scrambler Code configuration, a user canconfigure the Scrambler Code that may be required forthe optional scrambler board. Configuration using KPG-101D• Configuring the Scrambler Code (Refer to FPRG6.6.16 Scrambler Code.)15.3 Repeater InformationThe following functions relevant to repeaters in LTRTrunked Radio System can be configured by using KPG-101D:• Area Code• Home Repeater• Repeater Information Table15.3.1 Area CodeThis function can be used to prevent interference fromadjacent systems. Area Code is normally configured for avalue of 0. When the transceiver suffers frominterference, configure the Area Code of one system for avalue of 0 and the code for the other system for a value of1.Area Code can be configured by using KPG-101D. Configuration using KPG-101D• Configuring the Area Code (Refer to FPRG 6.5.1Area Code.)15.3.2 Home RepeaterHome Repeater can be used to receive variousinformation from the LTR Trunked Radio System. Thetransceiver always transmits, receives and executesTrunkout via the Home Repeater.A user can transmit or receive using a repeater if therepeater is available. The Home Repeater provides the repeater number to theuser if the repeater is shared with other parties. Thetransceiver at the receiving party receives the repeaternumber and jumps to the Trunkout Repeater to receive acall.Home Repeater can be configured by using KPG-101D. Configuration using KPG-101D• Configuring the Home Repeater (Refer to FPRG6.5.2 Home Repeater.)
