16 SIGNALING56 Index Contents Confidential FUNC (K)/Ver. 1.0116.3 Signaling (Audio Control)Signaling (Audio Control) can be used to configure theconditions for disabling the Mute function by usingQT/DQT, LTR ID or Optional Signaling. Signaling (AudioControl) can be configured for each zone.16.3.1 Conventional GroupThe transceiver unmutes and emits the received audio ifthe configured conditions are satisfied.Conditions to unmute can be configured by using KPG-101D. The transceiver functions as follows.Table 16-3 Conditions to Unmute and Operation Configuration using KPG-101D• Configuring the Signaling (Audio Control) (Referto FPRG 6.2.6 Audio Control.)16.3.2 Trunking SystemThe transceiver unmutes and emits the received audio ifthe configured conditions are satisfied.Conditions to unmute can be configured by using KPG-101D. The transceiver functions in the following way.Table 16-4 Conditions to Unmute and Operation Configuration using KPG-101D• Configuring the Signaling (Audio Control) (Referto 6.3.10 Audio Control.)Condition OperationQT/DQTThe transceiver unmutes withQT/DQT.The conditions for unmuting do notaffect the Optional Signaling. Mutecanceling conditions remain unchangedeven if the transceiver transmits.QT/DQT or OptionalSignalingWhen Optional Signaling does notmatch, QT/DQT disables the Mutefunction. The transceiver unmutes if thetransceiver receives a carrier while theOptional Signaling matches. Mutecanceling conditions remain unchangedeven if the transceiver transmits.QT/DQT andOptional SignalingThe Mute function is not disables unlessOptional Signaling matches. WhenOptional Signaling matches, QT/DQTdisables the Mute function. When the transceiver transmits, thetransceiver enters Monitor Mode, andOptional Signaling is disabled. For thisreason, the Mute function is disabled byQT/DQT after transmission ends.Condition OperationLTR IDThe LTR ID disables the mute function.Mute canceling conditions remainunchanged even if the transceivertransmits.LTR ID and OptionalSignalingWhen the LTR ID matches with theOptional Signaling, the transceiverunmutes, emits the Call Alert tones, opens the Call Alert display andtransponds.Once Optional Signaling matches, thesignaling status remains matched until itis reset. Once the Optional Signalingmatches, the transceiver unmutes evenif only the LTR ID matches. When the transceiver transmits, thetransceiver enters Monitor Mode, andOptional Signaling is disabled. Therefore, the transceiver unmutes withthe LTR ID when the transceivercompletes transmitting.
