Upgrading Your Server 9-29InstallationInstall a CPU in the following procedure.1. See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.2. Remove the components as follows: Side cover Processor air duct3. Locate the CPU socket which you are going to install CPU.4. Raise the locking lever on the socket.IMPORTANT: Open the lever until it stops. The bar can be opened toapprox. 120 degrees.5. Aligning the pins of the CPU with the socket, insert the CPU slowly and gently into thesocket.IMPORTANT: Be aware of CPU direction. Pin layouts on twocorners among four differ from others to prevent an incorrect insertion.Confirm the pin mark and pin layout on the socket, and insert the CPUcorrectly.Pin mark
