7 − Using the folder finderTASCAM SS-CDR1 53Creating a new folderHere’s how to create a new folder inside the working folder.This operation is valid for a CF card or for an unfinalizedCD that contains WAV/MP3 files1 With the folder menu displayed, turn the frontpanel MULTI JOG dial (or use the remote’s cursor§ , ¶ keys) to highlight NEW FOLDER.2 Press the front panel MULTI JOG dial (or theremote’s ENTER key.)3 The RENAME screen will appear.For details on editing a name, refer to “Renaming afolder” on page 52.4 When you’ve finished editing the name, press thefront panel MULTI JOG dial (or the remote’s EN-TER key) to finalize the changes.A popup FOLDER will appear, and the new folder willbe created.When the folder has been created, the display willreturn to the folder finder screen.NOTEA maximum of 255 folders can be created on aCompactFlash card.Undeleting a deleted folder (UNDO) (CF card only)The following operation is possible only when using a CFcard. Immediately after deleting a folder from a CF card,you can undo the operation and recover the folder.This is possible only if the play mode is set to continuousplayback (CONTINUE).NOTEWhen performing the Undo operation, it does notmatter which folder is selected in the folder finderscreen when you open the folder menu screen.1 Turn the front panel MULTI JOG dial (or use theremote’s cursor § , ¶ keys) to highlight UNDO.2 Press the front panel MULTI JOG dial (or theremote’s ENTER key.)A confirmation screen will appear.3 Press the front panel MULTI JOG dial (or theremote’s ENTER key).The folder will be recovered, and you will return to thefolder finder screen. At this time the recovered folderwill be highlighted.NOTEIf you decide not to perform this undelete opera-•tion (UNDO), press the front panel TIME (ESC) key(or the remote’s CLR/ESC key).If there is no file deletion operation that can be•undone, the display will indicate CAN,T UNDO.Making a folder the current folderHere’s how to make the folder in which you’re working thecurrent folder. If you create a new folder in which tostore recorded files, you can use the above procedureto make that new folder the current folder.NOTEImmediately after deleting a folder, you will still beable to undo the deletion (“Undeleting a deletedfolder (UNDO)(CD card only)” on page 53).
