Your default web browseris used to display the web interface. Access to the interface is protectedby username and password authentication. A graphical representation ofthe device is usually displayed, along with various device configurationoptions and low-level statistics. For more information on the featuresprovided by the web interface, please refer to the user documentation foryour device.Telnet Management Most 3Com devices provide a Telnet management interface, enabling youto manage a single device or stack of devices at one time. Access to theinterface is protected by username and password authentication. Ittypically provides the most complete range of configuration options. Formore information on the features provided by the Telnet interface, pleaserefer to the user documentation for your device.SSH Management For devices which provide an SSH (Secure SHell) management interface,you can integrate your own SSH client into Network Director. SeeAppendix H for more information on how to do this.Administration Menu The administration menu of 3Com Network Director contains entries foradd-on 3Com device management applications3Com Network Director.These applications provide management operations specific to aparticular device type.
