3-42 Printing with the MultiPASS Printer Chapter 3Saving a Custom Print Mode as a FileTo keep the number of custom print modes stored on the Main tab to aminimum, you can save a print mode as a file. Once a custom print mode issaved, you can delete the print mode from the list of your saved settings.Anytime you need the print mode, however, you can retrieve the file.To save a custom print mode as a file:1. In the Printer Properties dialog box, on the Main tab, click Change.2. In the Properties dialog box, click the Save tab.3. On the Save tab, in the Saved Settings list, click the print mode that youwant to save as a file.4. Click Save As.5. In the Save File dialog box, click the folder where you want to save thefile. Then type a name for the file.6. Click OK.Your custom print mode is saved in the folder and with the file name youspecified.Retrieving a Custom Print Mode FileWhen you need to print a document using a print mode you previouslysaved as a file, you can retrieve the print mode file.To retrieve a custom print mode file:1. In the Printer Properties dialog box, on the Main tab, click Change.2. In the Properties dialog box, click the Save tab.3. On the Save tab, click Open.4. In the Open File dialog box, click the following: the folder where yousaved your print mode; the name of the file for your saved print modethat you want to retrieve; and the corresponding icon for the savedprint mode.
