Operation50 M-Max Series Adjustable Frequency Drive MN04020003E—October 2013 www.eaton.comOperationCommissioning ChecklistBefore placing the frequency converter into operation, make sure to check the following:No. Activity Completed Notes1 Installation and wiring have been carried out in accordancewith the corresponding instructional leaflet (AWA8230-2416)2 All wiring and line section leftovers, as well as all the toolsused, have been removed from the frequency inverter’sproximity3 All terminals in the power section and in the control sectionwere tightened with the specified torque4 The lines connected to the output terminals of the frequencyinverter (U/T1, V/T2, W/T3, R+, R–) are not short-circuited andare not connected to ground (PE)5 The frequency inverter has been earthed properly (PE)6 All electrical terminals in the power section (L1, L2/N, L3,U/T1, V/T2, W/T3, R+, R–, PE) were implemented properly andwere designed in line with the corresponding requirements7 Each single phase of the supply voltage (L1, L2, L3) is protectedwith disconnect device8 The frequency inverter and the motor are adapted to the inputvoltage (see “Nameplate Rating Data”on Page 6, connectiontype [star, delta] of the motor tested)9 The quality and volume of cooling air are in line with theenvironmental conditions required for the frequency inverterand the motor10 All connected control lines comply with the corresponding stopconditions (for example, switch in OFF position and setpointvalue = zero)11 The parameters that were preset at the factory have beenchecked with the list of parameters (see “List of Parameters”on Page 161)12 The effective direction of a coupled machine will allow themotor to start13 All emergency switching off functions and safety functions arein an appropriate condition
