Negative numbers may be entered in one of twomanners.Z Immediately pressing one of the VALUE keys causes the settings toscroll through its range including any negative numbers.Z After entering at least one digit of a numeric settings value, pressing theVALUE keys changes the sign of the value where applicable.4.1.6 Settings EntryTo store any settings, terminals C1 and C2 (access terminals) must be shorted (a keyswitchmay be used for security). There is also a settings passcode feature that restricts access tosettings. The passcode must be entered to allow the changing of settings values. Apasscode of “0” effectively turns off the passcode feature - in this case only the accessjumper is required for changing settings. If no key is pressed for 5 minutes, access tosettings values will be restricted until the passcode is entered again. To prevent settingsaccess before the 5 minutes expires, the unit may be turned off and back on, the accessjumper may be removed, or the SETTINGS ACCESS settings may be changed to “Restricted”.The passcode cannot be entered until terminals C1 and C2 (access terminals) are shorted.When settings access is allowed, the settings Access LED indicator on the front of the 469will be lit.Settings changes take effect immediately, even when motor is running. However, changingsettings while the motor is running is not recommended as any mistake may cause anuisance trip.The following procedure may be used to access and alter settings. This specific examplerefers to entering a valid passcode to allow access to settings if the passcode was “469”.Z Press the MENU key to access the header of each menu, which will bedisplayed in the following sequence:Z Press the MENU key until the display shows the header of the Settingsmenu.Z Press the MESSAGE X or ENTER key to display the header for the firstsettings page.The set point pages are numbered, have an 'S' prefix for easyidentification and have a name which gives a general idea of the settingsavailable in that page. Pressing the MESSAGE T or MESSAGE S keyswill scroll through all the available settings page headers. Settings pageheaders look as follows:SETTINGS[Z]ACTUALVALUES [Z]TARGETMESSAGES [Z]SETTINGS [
