They customize the system for your office. Allprogramming is recorded in theNorstar Programming Record.You may want to further customize your system. For example,you can change how some features work, or adapt the system tochanges in your office. Programming allows you to changesettings that probably need to be updated regularly because ofstaff turnover or new business contacts. You can also assignfeatures and program buttons on individual telephones.There are four ways to customize and maintain your Norstarsystem:• Initial programming is done for you by your installer orcustomer service representative. It deals mostly with howthe system interacts with lines, telephones, and otherequipment.• Your programming as a system coordinator changes howfeatures work for the system, as needed. It requires asystem coordinator password.• A basic programming password is available to allowindividuals other than the system coordinator to makechanges without giving access to sensitive programmingcapabilities.• Personal programming is available to anyone through theFeature button on their Norstar telephone. It allowsindividuals to change how their telephone works to suitthemselves.
