Depending on the settingand the external information available, either the caller’s nameor telephone number is displayed.When you transfer an external call to another Norstar user, thisinformation is displayed on the recipient’s telephone.Call Display information becomes available between the firstand second ring of an incoming call. If you answer before theCall Display information is available on your display, and youpress ƒ°⁄⁄, you see only the line number orline name.To use logging features with Call Display, see “Using CallLog” on page 107.Using Call Information for a particular callƒ°⁄⁄Call Information allows you to see information aboutincoming calls. This information is more detailed than the CallDisplay information you can receive automatically. Forexternal calls, you can display the caller’s name, telephonenumber, and the line name. For an internal call, you candisplay the caller’s name and their internal number. You cansee information for ringing, answered, or held calls.Call Information is available for calls even if they have beentransferred, forwarded or rerouted in some way.Names and numbers for external calls are displayed only if youhave subscribed to Call Display services from your telephonecompany.
