80 / Transferring callsModular ICS 4.0 System Coordinator Guide P0881591 Issue 012. Use the Page feature (ƒfl‚) or press PAGE toannounce the retrieval code displayed by your telephone.Retrieving a parked call1. Select an internal line. (On the M7100 telephone, pick upthe receiver.)2. Dial the Call Park retrieval code.Using Call ParkWhen you park a call, the system assigns one of 25 codes forthe retrieval of the call. These codes consist of the Call Parkprefix, which may be any digit from 1 to 9, and a two-digit callnumber between 01 and 25. For example, if the Call Parkprefix is 1, the first parked call is assigned Call Park retrievalcode 101.The Norstar system assigns Call Park codes in sequence, fromthe lowest to the highest, until all the codes are used. Thisround-robin approach means that a greater variety of codes areused, which makes it easier for a call to reach the right personwhen more than one incoming call is parked. The highest call number (the Call Park prefix followed by 25)is used only by analog telephones or devices connected to thesystem using an analog terminal adapter (ATA) or an AnalogStation Module (ASM). Analog telephones or devices cannotuse the other Call Park codes.Your installer or customer service representative programsboth the Call Park prefix and the delay before parked calls arereturned to the originating telephone. External calls parked forlonger than the programmed delay are returned to yourtelephone.
