Both room extensions and common extensions can beprogrammed to sound an audible alert at a requested time.One Alarm time within a 24-hour period is programmable on aroom or common extension and must be reset daily. When thealarm sounds, all telephones in a given room alert. Cancelling thealarm on any telephone cancels the alarm on all the telephones inthe room. A new Alarm time entered on a room or commonextension overwrites any alarm set previously.If the Compact Plus system experiences a mains failure, thefailure can result in missed Alarm times. When the Compact Plussystem is running and the system time resets, the missed Alarmtimes alert on respective room or common extensions. At alltimes, the Compact Plus system allows up to a maximum of 24extensions that can alert at the same time.Programming the Alarm time featureTo programme the Alarm time feature on a Norstar/BSTtelephone:1. Press ≤°‡fi. The display shows Alrm: 07:00amOFF.2. If the alarm time is correct press ON/OFF.The display shows Alrm:07:00am ON. Enter a new four-digit alarm time.— If the 24-hour clock format is used (hour: 00 to 23 andminutes: 00 to 59), no confirmation is required.
