102 Part F: Configuring Channels © Tait Electronics Limited December 2007Customizing the Default Signalling ProfileThe Edit Signalling Profile dialog box lets you modify the default signallingprofile to suit your system. Some items display ‘See channel table.’ Youconfigure them in the channel table so that you can give different channelsdifferent values.To customize the default signalling profile1. Select Configure > Base Station > General.2. In the Default profiles area, click Signal Profile. The Edit Signalling Profileform appears.3. Select the Subaudible filter check box if you want to filter subaudiblesignalling out of the audio sent to line. (This is only needed if the channeltable does not specify a subaudible tone or code. It only has an effect if thechannel table selects one of the speech filters.)Nothing else in the Subaudible Signalling tab can be configured. Subaudiblesignalling is defined for each channel in the channel table. The tone table isonly available for custom profiles.4. In the Tx Timers tab, configure the way the audio, signalling, and carrierend at the end of a transmission. You can also enable transmit lockout andanti-kerchunking.5. In the Advanced tab, check that the settings for CTCSS gating are suitable.6. Click OK to confirm your changes and return to the General form.
