TB8100 Service Kit User’s Manual Task Manager Inputs and Actions 201Subtone encoding enabledThe override input Subtone encoding enabled becomes true when TaskManager turns on the Subaudible encode system flag. This occurs on enteringRun mode. It also occurs if a Task Manager task turns the flag on after aprevious task has disabled it.Tone nn detectedThis input becomes true when the receiver detects a subaudible tone that isdefined in the current signalling profile (Subaudible Signalling tab). nn refers tothe number of the tone specified in that profile (a profile can have up to 16tones defined).ExampleEnable the technician to request the emailing of a status messageIF Tone 2 detected THEN Email status nowWhen the base station receives the subaudible tone, the base station emails astatus message. The signalling profile is set up so that this tone only results inTask Manager action. To obtain status information, the technician transmitsthat subaudible tone: Task Manager then instructs the base station to email thestatus message to the configured destination.System I/OSystem I/O inputs involve digital and audio inputs and outputs over the basestation’s system interface board.Balanced input lowThe Balanced input low input becomes tru e when the audio level on theunbalanced line in falls below the minimum level specified in Configure >Alarms > Thresholds. This input is useful in applications where the base station can expect a signal allthe time. It lets you define tasks that specify actions when the expected audioinput ceases.ExampleIF Balanced input low THEN Start over the air alarmIf the line fails, the base station sends alarm pips over the air.Digital input activeThe Digital input active input becomes true when the digital input becomesactive.Digital output nn activeThe Digital output nn active input becomes true when the base station setsthe digital output.RSSI highThe RSSI high input becomes true when the RF signal that the base station isreceiving exceeds the maximum signal strength specified in Configure > Alarms> Thresholds.
