Each entry in the list contains a channelnumber followed by the corresponding channel name.Network identity Specifies the IP address and other network parameters of the base station. Thesedetails are only needed if the base station is fitted with an Ethernet interface. They are used in remote communications with the Service Kit and with anoptional syslog collector.By default, the base station has a private IP address. Before the base station isinstalled on site, you need to connect via RS-232, Ethernet crossover cable, oron an isolated network segment, and give it its proper network identity. Youmust also define a network connection in the Service Kit so that it can remotelyconnect to the base station. It is a good idea to keep a written record of eachbase station’s network identity, but if you lose the information, you can recoverit by connecting to the base station via the front panel at startup, and thenreading the configuration.
