Copy a TB8100 connections file (*.t8n) from another Service Kit into themain folder of your Service Kit program.2. Run the Service Kit and select Tools > Configure Connections.3. Click Import.4. If necessary, select the desired connections file.5. Click Open.Exporting ConnectionsYou can export Service Kit connections. This results in a TB8100 connectionsfile that you can import into other Service Kits. It also generates a text file thatlets you view the details of each connection.To export connections1. In the Connections dialog box (Tools > Configure Connections), specifywhether you want to export all connections or just a selection.2. If you chose the Selected folder option, select the folder or the connectionthat you want to export.3. Click Export.4. If necessary, specify the path and file name for the connections file.5. Click Save.6. The Service Kit saves the file, giving it the extension .t8n. It also saves anequivalent text file with the same name and with the extension .txt. The textfile gives you a readable view of the exported connections. Editing this filehas no effect on the exported connections.Setting Up Automatic Connection at StartupRunning TB8100.exe starts the Service Kit. Command line parameters can besupplied that instruct the Service Kit to connect to a particular base station(Ethernet system interface required). This makes it possible for a networkmanagement system to launch the Service Kit and have it connect to the basestation from which an alarm message has been received.TB8100.exe /I ipaddress[:port] [/L :password]Once the Service Kit is logged on, it displays the main alarm form (Monitor >Monitoring > Current Alarm Status).Switch Meaning/I Connect to the base station at the IP address specified. If the ServiceKit has a defined connection to that IP address, it will use the settingsin that connection. If there is no defined connection, and the port touse is not the default (for example, because a router accepts one portnumber and redirects to another), you need to specify a port./L Log on using the specified access level and password, where = admin|user|readonly. If you don’t specify parametersfor this switch, you can manually enter them at connection time.
