LIGHTING SYSTEM8-17EAS27260TROUBLESHOOTINGAny of the following fail to light: headlight, high beam indicator light, taillight, license light or meterlight.NOTE:• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):1 Rider seat2 Fuel tank3 Side cowlingsNG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓1 Check the each bulbs and bulbsockets condition.Refer to "CHECKING THE BULBSAND BULB SOCKETS" on page 8-88.Replace the bulb(s) and bulbsocket(s).2 Check the fuses.(Main, headlight and park)Refer to "CHECKING THE FUSES"on page 8-89.Replace the fuse(s).3 Check the battery.Refer to "CHECKING ANDCHARGING THE BATTERY" onpage 8-89.• Clean the battery terminals.• Recharge or replace the battery.4 Check the main switch.Refer to "CHECKING THESWITCHES" on page 8-85.Replace the immobilizer unit.5 Check the dimmer switch.Refer to "CHECKING THESWITCHES" on page 8-85.The dimmer switch is faulty. Replacethe left handlebar switch.6 Check the pass switch.Refer to "CHECKING THESWITCHES" on page 8-85.The pass switch is faulty.
