Remove:• Side cowlings• Lower cowlingsRefer to "GENERAL CHASSIS" on page 4-1.2. Remove:• Radiator upper bolts• Radiator lower boltRefer to "RADIATOR" on page 6-1.3. Disconnect:• Ignition coils4. Remove:• Spark plugsCAUTION:ECA13320Before removing the spark plugs, blowaway any dirt accumulated in the sparkplug wells with compressed air to prevent itfrom falling into the cylinders.5. Check:• Spark plug typeIncorrect → Change.6. Check:• Electrode “1”Damage/wear → Replace the spark plug.• Insulator “2”Abnormal color → Replace the spark plug.Normal color is medium-to-light tan.7. Clean:• Spark plugs(with a spark plug cleaner or wire brush)8. Measure:• Spark plug gap “a”(with a wire thickness gauge)Out of specification → Regap.9. Install:• Spark plugs• Ignition coilsNOTE:Before installing the spark plug, clean thespark plug and gasket surface.10.
