If thecurrent in a phase exceeds the set level, information about phase is reported to thecontact position indicator module.Contact position indicatorThe circuit breaker status is open if the auxiliary input contact POSCLOSE is low,the POSOPEN input is high and the current is zero. The circuit breaker is closedwhen the POSOPEN input is low and the POSCLOSE input is high. The breaker isin the intermediate position if both the auxiliary contacts have the same value, thatis, both are in the logical level "0", or if the auxiliary input contact POSCLOSE islow and the POSOPEN input is high, but the current is not zero. The status of the breaker is indicated with the binary outputs CBOPEN, CBINVPOSand CBCLOSED for open, intermediate and closed position respectively.13.15.7.2 Circuit breaker operation monitoringThe purpose of the circuit breaker operation monitoring subfunction is to indicate ifthe circuit breaker has not been operated for a long time. The operation of the circuit breaker operation monitoring can be described by usinga module diagram. All the modules in the diagram are explained in the next sections.GUID-82C88B52-1812-477F-8B1A-3011A300547A V1 ENFigure 209: Functional module diagram for calculating inactive days and alarmfor circuit breaker operation monitoring1MRK 502 034-UEN - Section 13Monitoring433Technical Manual
