11-12 FRX8000 3.0 User Guide, Rev 02Configuring SDLC PUsSLDC PU configuration falls into one of three categories:l FRX8000 HPAD and TPAD PUsl N7000 HPAD PUsl N7000 TPAD PUsHPAD PU configuration in both FRX8000 and N7000 defines the TPADs that willcommunicate with each HPAD. TPAD PU configuration defines the remote devicesthat will connect to each TPAD.On an N7000 SNA port, the first HPAD/TPAD is defined in the Port file, and the PU file is used to define any additional TPADs/PUs.You are required to enter subscriber IDs when creating PU records. If aSubscriber record has not been created for one of these IDs, you will seeNo match in Database when you enter its ID. This is OK as long as youcreate the record before attempting to initiate HPAD-TPAD communi-cation.Press [F] at the Ports Selection Menu (or [A], [D], [F] from the Main Menu) to displaythe SNA PAD Management Menu.
