Configuring Async Pads 13-17Configuring Subscriber IDsThis operation creates records for the called and calling addresses that will be used inX.25 call setup if async traffic will be transported over X.25 or (via an X.25 logicalport) frame relay. To complete the connection, the software must recognize where thecall is coming from (calling address) and where it is going (called address).To configure an SVC Subscriber record, press [A], then [C] at the Subscriber Config-uration Menu (or [A], [F], [A], [C] from the Main Menu). When prompted, enter aSubscriber ID, up to 15 digits (as described on page 9-15). (The default is an asterisk,a universal wildcard.) If this is an existing record, a screen similar to Figure 13-4 willbe displayed.
