Configuring IPX 15-3Configuring IPX InterfacesAn IPX interface allows the Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX) protocol to be exe-cuted over an FRX8000 frame relay, X.25, Ethernet, 802.5 (Token Ring), or networkinterface port. (N7000 nodes do not support IPX routing.) The IPX function is used toconnect an FRX8000 to a Novell NetWare network. If this node will be running IPX,press [B], [A], [C] from the LAN Interfaces Configuration Menu (or [A], [E], [B], [A], [C]from the Main Menu) to configure an interface. When prompted, enter:l Node ID (of the node containing the interface): 1–250. (Default is the “local”node.)l Interface number: 0–63. (Default is 0.) This identifies the virtual interface.l Any other requested information, referring to Table 15-6.
