Standard Send Settings 9-139 Customizing Communications SettingsStandard Send SettingsThis mode enables you to change the standard settings for the Send function, including thescan mode and file format. (See "Selecting a Scan Mode," on p. 3-2, and "Sending Methods,"on p. 5-2.)NOTE• If the optional Super G3 FAX Board is installed and you are sending documents by fax, the file formatset here is disabled.• If the Color Universal Send Kit (standard-equipped for the iR C4580i/iR C4080i) is activated, you canalso change the file format.• If you send documents by fax or I-fax, the file format set here is disabled. However, if [PDF (Trace)] or[PDF (Compact)] is selected as the file format in the Standard Send Settings and you are sendingdocuments by fax or I-fax, a message prompting you to change the file format may appear on thescreen. If this happens, change the File Format setting to anything other than [PDF (Trace)] or [PDF(Compact)].1 Press ➞ [Communications Settings] ➞ [TX Settings] under ➞ [Edit Standard Send Settings].2 Specify each setting ➞ press [OK].
