Slide the power supply spacer into the bay until it snaps into place on thetabs that are on the side of the bay.6. Grasp the handle on the rear of the power supply and slide the power supplyforward into the power-supply bay until it clicks. Make sure that the powersupply connects firmly into the power-supply connector.7. Route the power cord through the hook-and-loop strap so that it does notaccidentally become disconnected.8. Turn on the circuit breaker(s) for the dc power supplies.9. Reconnect any external cables that you disconnected.10. Slide the server back into the rack, if it was in a rack.11. Turn on the server and the peripheral devices.12. Make sure that the server starts correctly and recognizes the newly installeddevice, and make sure that no error LEDs are lit.Removing the system boardThis information provides instructions on how to remove the system board.About this taskBefore you remove the system board from the server, take the following steps tosave data, firmware, and configuration data:v Record all system configuration information, such as IMM IP addresses, vitalproduct data, and the machine type, model number, serial number, UniversallyUnique Identifier, and asset tag of the server.v Using the Advanced Settings Utility (ASU), save the system configuration toexternal media.v Save the system-event log to external media.Note: When you replace the system board, you must either update the server withthe latest firmware or restore the pre-existing firmware that the customer provideson a CD or DVD image.
