See See “Preparing Your System for Upgrade” on page 110.2. Remove the side cover. See “Removing the Right Side Door” on page 111.3. Remove the CPU duct cover. See “Removing the Processor Duct Cover” onpage 114.4. Expand the levers at the both ends of the socket for the DIMM to be removedleftward or rightward. The lock is released to allow the DIMM to be removed.Figure 89: Removing DIMM5. Turn on the power of the server. Then make sure that any error message doesnot appear in POST. If an error message appears, write down the message andreview the error message list.6. Start the SETUP to select "Advanced" → "Memory Configuration" →"Memory Retest" on the menus to clear the error information on the removedDIMM.7. Set "Reset Configuration Data" on the "Advanced" menu to "Yes." This isrequired to update the hardware configuration information.
