User Guide34www.nec-computers.comNEC ExpressBuilder CD-ROMPlease setup the server using the NEC ExpressBuilder CD-ROM both when setting itup for the first time, and when you make changes to its configuration.With the NEC ExpressBuilder CD you can:■ Install the Operating System, using the Express Setup.■ Diagnose the system, using the System Diagnostics tool.■ Create a support disk; this disk will be used to manually install a Microsoftoperating system.■ Update the BIOS or the server firmware.■ Update a Microsoft operating system, using the “Update NEC Express5800System” feature of the Master Control menu (available from the windows-basedNEC ExpressBuilder).■ Install utilities, such as management software for Windows (NEC ESMPRO, NECDianascope, etc.), and DOS-based maintenance utilities (System Diagnostics, Off-line Maintenance Utility, etc.). Windows-based applications are installed via theMaster Control menu, whereas DOS-based utilities are installed via the Toolsmenu.
