Using Set-Up Mode5-7Options with Undetermined ValuesFor some options, you can choose among a continuous range of many values. Theseoptions are identified as follows:z , which means the unit of the range is the Inch.z , which means the unit of the range is the Column.z , which means the unit of the range is the Line.When you select such an option, only the current value is printed. The numeric rangeof these respective options are from 1 to 256, from 0 to 255, or from 0 to 99.To select such a value:1. Press the Æ button or the button (the printer beeps) as many times as youdecrease from or increase to the current value. If you change the value by a widemargin, you can keep the button pressed continuously; the printer beeps at inter-vals of 0.2 seconds. The number of beeps corresponds to the number of timesyou press the button.2. When you stop pressing the button, the new value is printed to the right of thecurrent value.3. If this new value is not satisfactory, repeat step 1 until the next new value is sat-isfactory.Range Management for a Wide Range of ValuesThe permitted range of these values may be limited as to physical range.If you intend to change to a value which is outside of the permitted physical range,the actual current value will be the highest possible value considering other Set-Updependent values and may not match the value displayed.See the Options tables to ascertain the permitted range.Example: Changing the Left MarginThis example shows how to change the left margin in Macro 2 from column 1 to col-umn 20.1.
