44Loading Documents3.1 Types of DocumentsYou can load your document either on the document glass or in the optional Duplex Automatic DocumentFeeder (DADF). The DADF allows multiple sheets of documents to be loaded and copied. This sectionexplains the types of documents that can be placed on the document glass or loaded in the DADF.3.1.1 Document SizesThe sizes of documents that can be loaded on the document glass or in the DADF are as follows:*1 GSM or g/m2 is a measure of the substance of paper expressed in grammes per square meter, which does not depend on the number of sheetsin the ream.*2 The value when copying 2 to 2 sided or 2 to 1 sided.3.1.2 Automatic Document Size SensingThis machine can automatically detect the document size for copying. You do not need to specify thesize of your document if it is in one of the sizes listed below.● If you are making copies onto non-standard paper sizes, specify the document size by selecting Document Size Input from theAdded Features screen.
