CRANKCASE5-736. Install:• Crankcase boltsTIP• Lubricate the bolts “1”–“10” thread, matingsurfaces and washers with engine oil.• Lubricate the bolts “11”–“18” thread, matingsurfaces and O-rings with engine oil.• Lubricate the bolts “19”–“40” thread and mat-ing surfaces with engine oil (except “31”).• Apply LOCTITE® to the screw of the bolt“31” and engine oil to the bearing surface.• M9 × 100 mm bolts with washers: “1”–“10”.• M8 × 60 mm bolts with new O-rings:“11”–“18”.• M8 × 60 mm bolts: “19”, “20”.• M6 × 70 mm bolt: “31”.• M6 × 65 mm shoulder bolts: “21”, “22”• M6 × 60 mm bolts: “30”, “32”–“36”.• M6 × 50 mm bolts: “23”–“25”, “27”–“29”,“40”.• M6 × 40 mm bolts: “26”, “37”–“39”.7. Tighten:• Crankcase bolts “1”–“10”*Following the tightening order, loosen thebolt one by one and then retighten it to thespecific torque.WARNINGEWA14B1030If the crankcase bolt is tightened more thanthe specified angle, do not loosen the boltand then retighten it. Instead, replace thecrankcase bolt with a new one and performthe procedure again.ECA14B1043Do not use a torque wrench to tighten thecrankcase bolt to the specified angle.TIPTighten the bolts in the tightening sequencecast on the crankcase.8.
