LIGHTING SYSTEM8-19EAS27260TROUBLESHOOTINGAny of the following fail to light: headlight, high beam indicator light, taillight or license plate light.TIP• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):1. Rider seat2. Left side cowling3. Air intake air duct covers4. Meter assemblyNG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓NG→OK↓1. Check the each bulbs and bulbsockets condition.Refer to “CHECKING THE BULBSAND BULB SOCKETS” on page 8-128.Replace the bulb(s) and bulbsocket(s).2. Check the fuses.(Main, headlight, ignition and turnsignal light)Refer to “CHECKING THE FUSES”on page 8-129.Replace the fuse(s).3. Check the battery.Refer to “CHECKING ANDCHARGING THE BATTERY” onpage 8-129.• Clean the battery terminals.• Recharge or replace the battery.4. Check the main switch.Refer to “CHECKING THESWITCHES” on page 8-125.Replace the main switch/immobilizernut.5. Check the dimmer switch.Refer to “CHECKING THESWITCHES” on page 8-125.The dimmer switch is faulty. Replacethe left handlebar switch.6. Check the pass switch.Refer to “CHECKING THESWITCHES” on page 8-125.The pass switch is faulty. Replace theleft handlebar switch.7.
