THROTTLE BODIES7-19EAS14B1073ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE POSITIONSENSORWARNINGEWA14B1023• Handle the throttle position sensor withspecial care.• Never subject the throttle position sensorto strong shocks. If the throttle positionsensor is dropped, replace it.1. Check:• Throttle position sensorRefer to “CHECKING THE THROTTLEPOSITION SENSOR” on page 8-143.2. Adjust:• Throttle position sensor angle▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼a. Temporary tighten the throttle position sen-sor.b. Check that the throttle grip is fully closed.c. Connect the throttle position sensor, accel-erator position sensor and throttle servomotor to the wire harness.d. Turn the main switch to “OFF”.e. Simultaneously press and hold the“SELECT” and “RESET” buttons, turn themain switch to “ON”, and continue to pressthe buttons for 8 seconds more.TIP“dIAG” appears on the odometer LCD.f. Diagnostic code number “D:01” is selected.g. Adjust the position of the throttle positionsensor angle so that 12–21 can appear inthe meter.h.
