ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS8-1336. Install:• Battery seat• Battery7. Connect:• Battery leads(to the battery terminals)ECA13630First, connect the battery positive lead “1”,and then the battery negative lead “2”.TIPSet the battery seat end “a” proper position.8. Check:• Battery terminalsDirt → Clean with a wire brush.Loose connection → Connect properly.9. Lubricate:• Battery terminals10. Install:• Battery cover• Rider seatRefer to “GENERAL CHASSIS” on page4-1.EAS28040CHECKING THE RELAYSCheck each switch for continuity with thepocket tester. If the continuity reading is incor-rect, replace the relay.1. Disconnect the relay from the wire harness.2.
