The RMS value of each phase current is derived from the fundamentalfrequency components, as well as sampled values of each phase current. These phasecurrent values are fed to the instantaneous phase overcurrent protection 3-phaseoutput function PHPIOC. In a comparator the RMS values are compared to the setoperation current value of the function (IP>>). If a phase current is larger than the setoperation current a signal from the comparator for this phase is set to true. This signalwill, without delay, activate the TRIP signal that is common for all three phases.PHPIOC can be blocked from the binary input BLOCK.6.1.8 Technical dataTable 29:PHPIOC technical dataFunction Range or value AccuracyOperate current (5-2500)% of lBase ± 1.0% of Ir at I £ Ir± 1.0% of I at I > IrReset ratio > 95% -Operate time 20 ms typically at 0 to 2 x Iset -Table continues on next pageSection 6 1MRK 511 287-UEN ACurrent protection80Technical manual
