If the enginestops, you will have some powerbrake assist left, but it's used up asyou brake.Disc Brake Wear IndicatorsYour vehicle has disc brakes.Disc brake pads have built-in wearindicators that make a high-pitched warning sound when thebrake pads are worn and new onesare needed.Some conditions or climates maycause disc brakes to squeal whenthey are first or lightly applied.This does not indicate a problemwith the brakes.Improperly tightened wheel nutscan lead to brake pulsation androtor damage. To avoid expensivebrake repairs, evenly tighten thewheel nuts in the proper sequenceand to the proper torquespecification.See "Specifications and Capacities"in Section 4 for the proper wheelnut torque.Brake linings should always bereplaced as complete axle sets.CAUTIONThe brake wear warning soundmeans that soon your brakeswon't work well. That couldlead to an accident.
