– 85 –Chapter 4 Shooting — Dual codec recordingDual codec recordingRecording in different formats for main recording and sub recording can be performed on the camera.For sub recording, you can select HD proxy in AVC-LongG 6 format with 1920×1080 resolution or one of three SD proxies with different resolution.The file format is MOV that is suitable for nonlinear editing.For the combination with the main recording, refer to “System modes and recording functions” (page 76).Dual codec recording settingSetting menuWhen recording proxy data with the camera, set in the main menu → [RECORDING SETUP] → [DUAL CODEC SETTING].Item Description of settings[CODEC USAGE] Selects media for recording proxy data.[PROXY REC(P2)]: Records proxy data to a P2 card.[PROXY REC(P2&SD)]: Records proxy data to both of a P2 card and SD memory card.[STREAMING]: Outputs streaming.[OFF]: Does not record proxy data.f Factory setting: [OFF]If the [CODEC USAGE] setting cannot be changed, change the [PROXY REC MODE] or [STREAMINGMODE] setting.When [ONE FILE] is selected in the main menu → [RECORDING SETUP] → [FILE SPLIT], only [OFF] canbe selected.[PROXY REC MODE] Sets the recording mode of proxy data.[LOW 2CH MOV], [HQ 2CH MOV], [SHQ 2CH MOV], [AVC-G6 2CH MOV]f Factory setting: [HQ 2CH MOV][STREAMING MODE] Sets the transfer mode for streaming.[LOW], [HQ], [AVC-G6], [SHQ (QoS)], [AVC-G (QoS)]f Factory setting: [HQ][PROXY DISP] Selects whether to display proxy data recorded information or messages in the viewfinder and LCDmonitor.[ON]: Displays proxy recording information and SD memory card remaining capacity at the start ofrecording.
