Fax Options - Fax103Multiple-UpThis feature allows you to scan multiple pages of your original document, and have thescanned pages automatically merged for fax transmissions. The scanned data will beprinted onto the paper specifically set for fax at the receiving end. Depending on therecipient’s machine configuration, the scanned pages may be enlarged or reducedautomatically to fit the paper size set to print fax, or the scanned pages may be dividedinto multiple pages if they are too long to be printed on a single piece of paper.1. Select [Multiple-Up] on the [FaxOptions] screen.2. Select the required option.3. Select [Save].OffDisables the feature.OnAllows you to specify the number of pages, between 2 and 9, to fit onto one sheet.Remote MailboxThis feature allows you to access a mailbox on a remote machine to send and retrieveconfidential documents. You must know the mailbox number and the passcode (if oneis set up) to access the remote mailbox. For more information on how to retrieveconfidential documents from a remote mailbox, refer toRemote Polling on page 105.1. Select [Remote Mailbox] on the[Fax Options] screen.2. Select the required option.3. Select [Save].OffDisables the feature.OnSets confidential transmissions. [Remote Mailbox Number] and [Mailbox Passcode]are displayed at the right side of the screen.• Remote Mailbox Number - Enter a mailbox number for the remote machine usingthe numeric keypad on the control panel. The mailbox number is a 3-digit code from001 to 999.• Mailbox Passcode - Enter the passcode of the mailbox on the remote machine ifrequired. The passcode is a 4-digit code.
