Power On/Off39Stored ProgrammingAllows you to store frequently-used settings as a program and recall them with just onebutton. This service is not available on the All Services screen by default, but can bedisplayed by the System Administrator. For instructions on how to display the serviceon the All Services screen, refer to the System Administration Guide or ask yourSystem Administrator. For more information on this feature, refer to theStoredProgramming chapter on page 159 or the Setups chapter in the System AdministrationGuide.Power On/OffPowering OnEnsure that the machine is connected to a suitable power supply and that the powerplug is firmly connected to the electrical outlet.The machine is ready to make copies after a maximum of 26 seconds from powering on(varies with the machine configuration).1. Press the power switch to the position.NOTE: If the machine does not startup, check that the RESET button onthe back of the machine is in the resetposition (depressed).Powering OffBefore switching off the machine, wait at least 5 seconds after all copy or print jobshave completely finished.After you switch off the machine, it remains on for approximately 10 seconds while itstores files on the hard disk drive and prepares for shutdown. The machine then shutsdown completely. Be careful not to unplug the power cord immediately after you switchoff the machine.NOTE: If the machine is switched off while processing data stored in the memory, thedata may be lost.NOTE: When switching on the machine again, wait at least 10 seconds after the touchscreen is turned off and the machine completely shuts down.TEST buttonRESET button
