| Configuring Network Settings | 58Parameter Description Configuration MethodHost Name Configure the host name of the system.Note: When the system broadcastsDHCP DISCOVER messages, it willreport the configured host name to theDHCP server via DHCP option 12. Formore information, contact the networkadministrator. If you change this parameter, thesystem will reboot to make the changetake effect.Web user interfaceVLANThe purpose of VLAN configurations on the system is to insert tag with VLAN information to the packets generatedby the system. When VLAN is properly configured for the Internet port on the system, the system will tag all packetsfrom the Internet port with the VLAN ID. The switch receives and forwards the tagged packets to the correspondingVLAN according to the VLAN ID in the tag as described in IEEE Std 802.3.In addition to manual configuration, the system also supports automatic discovery of VLAN via LLDP or DHCP. Theassignment takes effect in this order: assignment via LLDP, manual configuration, then assignment via DHCP.For more information on VLAN, refer to VLAN Feature on Yealink IP Phones.• Configuring LLDP• Configuring VLAN Manually• Configuring DHCP VLANConfiguring LLDPLLDP (Linker Layer Discovery Protocol) is a vendor-neutral Link Layer protocol, which allows the systems toreceive (transmit) the device-related information from (to) the directly connected devices that also uses the protocolon the network, and to store the information about other devices. When LLDP feature is enabled on the systems, the systems periodically send their own information to the directlyconnected switch (LLDP-enabled). The systems can also receive LLDP packets from the connected switch and obtaintheir VLAN IDs, and then communicates with the call control.• Configuring LLDPConfiguring LLDPProcedure1. Do one of the following:• On your web user interface, go to Network > Advanced > LLDP.• On your VCS:For VC880/VC800/VC500/PVT980/PVT950, go to More > Setting > Advanced > Advanced Network >LLDP.On your VC200, go to More > Network > Wired Network > Advanced Network > LLDP.On your VP59, tap Setting > Advanced > Advanced Network > LLDP.• On your CTP20, tap Setting > Advanced > Advanced Network > LLDP.
