Remove:• Valve lifter “1”• Valve pad “2”TIPMake a note of the position of each valve lifterand valve pad so that they can be reinstalled intheir original place.2. Check:• Valve sealingLeakage at the valve seat → Check thevalve face, valve seat, and valve seatwidth.Refer to “CHECKING THE VALVESEATS” on page 5-31.▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼a.
