Extract the fuel in the fuel tank through thefuel tank cap with a pump.2. Remove:• Fuel tank breather hose• Fuel tank overflow hose• Fuel pump coupler• Fuel sender coupler• Fuel hose connector cover• Fuel hoseWARNINGEWA14B1001Cover fuel hose connections with a clothwhen disconnecting them. Residual pres-sure in the fuel lines could cause fuel tospurt out when removing the hoses.ECA14B1003Be sure to disconnect the fuel hose byhand. Do not forcefully disconnect the hosewith tools.TIP• To remove the fuel hose from the fuel pump,press the two buttons “1” on the sides of theconnector, and then remove the hose.• Before removing the hoses, place a few ragsin the area under where it will be removed.3. Remove:• Fuel tankTIPDo not set the fuel tank down so that the instal-lation surface of the fuel pump is directly underthe tank.
