FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM8-37EAS14B1115TROUBLESHOOTING METHODThe engine operation is not normal and theengine trouble warning light comes on.1. Check:• Fault code number▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼a. Check the fault code number displayed onthe meter.b. Identify the faulty system with the faultcode.c. Identify the probable cause of the malfunc-tion.▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲2. Check and repair the probable cause ofmalfunction.3. Perform fuel injection system reinstatementaction.Refer to “Reinstatement method” of table in“TROUBLESHOOTING DETAILS” on page8-46.4. Turn the main switch to “OFF” and back to“ON”, then check that no fault code numberis displayed.TIPIf fault codes are displayed, repeat steps (1) to(4) until no fault code number is displayed.5. Erase the malfunction history in the diag-nostic mode. Refer to “Sensor operationtable (Diagnostic code No. D:62)”.TIPTurning the main switch to “OFF” will not erasethe malfunction history.The engine operation is not normal but theengine trouble warning light does not comeon.1.
