FUEL TANK7-4TIP• Do not damage the installation surfaces ofthe fuel tank when installing the fuel pump.• Always use a new fuel pump gasket.• Install the fuel pump gasket so that the lipside turns to the inside of the fuel tank.• Install the fuel pump as shown in the illustra-tion.• Align the projection “a” on the fuel pump withthe slot in the fuel pump bracket.• Tighten the fuel pump bolts in the propertightening sequence as shown.ET2C01010INSTALLING THE FUEL TANK1. Connect:• Fuel tank breather hose (fuel tank to hosejoint) “1”• Fuel tank overflow hose (fuel tank to hosejoint) “2”• Fuel tank breather hose “3”• Fuel tank overflow hose “4”2. Connect:• Fuel hose (fuel tank side)ECA14B1033When installing the fuel hose, make surethat it is securely connected, and that thefuel hose connector cover on the fuel hoseis in the correct position, otherwise the fuelhose will not be properly installed.TIPInstall the fuel hose securely onto the fuelpump until a distinct “click” is heard.• Fuel hose connector coverTIPAttach the fuel hose connector cover “1” to thefuel hose connector “2” from the bottom. Makesure that parts “a” are firmly attached to thefuel hose connector “2”.3. Connect:• Fuel sender coupler• Fuel pump coupler• Fuel tank overflow hose• Fuel tank breather hoseEAS14B1079INSTALLING THE FUEL TANK SIDE COV-ERSThe following procedure applies to both of thefuel tank side covers.1. Install:• Fuel tank side cover “1”▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼a. Fit the tabs “a” of the fuel tank side cover.b. Slide the fuel tank side cover to the rearand then fit the tabs.c.
