Parameter Description• enabled—The virtual disk candidates havesecurity enabled. The default value is none.physicalDiskMediaType You must use this parameter when you have morethan one type of physical disk media in yourstorage array.Valid physical disk media are:• hdd—Use this option when you have hard diskdrives.• ssd—Use this option when you have solid statedisks.• unknown—Use this option if you are not surewhat types of physical disk media are in theexpansion enclosure.• allMedia—Use this option when you want touse all types of physical disk media that are inthe expansion enclosure. The default value is hdd.Security TypeThe securityType parameter is valid for physical disks that are capable of self encrypting disk (SED).With SED, the RAID controller module firmware can create a key and activate the physical disk securityfeature. The physical disk security feature encrypts data as the data is written to the physical disk anddecrypts the data as the data is read from the physical disk. Without the key created by the RAIDcontroller module, the data written to the physical disk is inaccessible. Before you can set the securityType parameter to capable or enabled, you must create a storage arraysecurity key. Use the create storageArray securityKey command to create a storage arraysecurity key. These commands are related to the security key:• create storageArray securityKey• enable diskGroup [diskGroupName] security• export storageArray securityKey• import storageArray securityKey• set storageArray securityKey• start secureErase (physicalDisk | physicalDisks)Create HostDescriptionThis command creates a new host. If you do not specify a host group in which to create the new host, the new host is created in the default group.Syntaxcreate host userLabel=”hostName”[hostGroup=(“hostGroupName” | defaultGroup)]166
