Parameter DescriptionNOTE: The physicalDiskCount parameter enables youto choose the number of physical disks to use in the diskgroup. You do not need to specify the physical disks byenclosure ID and slot ID. The RAID controller moduleschoose the specific physical disks to use for the disk group.diskGroupUserLabel The alphanumeric identifier (including – and _) that you want togive the new disk group. Enclose the disk group identifier indouble quotes (" ").raidLevel RAID level of the disk group that contains the virtual disk. Validvalues are 0, 1, 5 or 6.userLabel Name to give to the new virtual disk. You must put quotationmarks (" ") around the new virtual disk name.physicalDiskType Specifies the type of physical disk to use in the virtual disk. Youcannot mix physical disk types in the virtual disk. The validphysical disk type is SAS.capacity The size of the virtual disk that you are adding to the storagearray. Size is defined in units of bytes, KB, MB, GB, or TB.NOTE: A space must be added between the last digit andthe size (bytes, KB, MB, or GB) for values greater than 9. Ifyou do not specify a capacity, all the available physical diskcapacity in the disk group is used. If you do not specify thecapacity unit, bytes is used as the default unit.owner The RAID controller module that owns the virtual disk. ValidRAID controller module identifier values are 0 and 1. Theidentifier value is 0 for the RAID controller module on the topand 1 for the RAID controller module on the bottom whenviewed from the rear of the enclosure. If you do not specify anowner, the RAID controller module firmware determines theowner.NOTE: The owner parameter defines which RAID controllermodule owns the virtual disk.cacheReadPrefetch The setting to turn on or turn off cache read prefetch. To turnoff cache read prefetch, set this parameter to FALSE. To turn oncache read prefetch, set this parameter to TRUE.segmentSize Amount of data (in KB) that the RAID controller module writeson a single physical disk in a virtual disk before writing data onthe next physical disk. Valid values are 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, or512. For information about the segmentSize parameter, seeUsing The Auto Configure Command.enclosureLossProtect Specifies that enclosure loss protection is enforced whencreating the disk group. To enforce enclosure loss protection, set this parameter to TRUE. The default setting is FALSE. For170
