Parameter DescriptionaddPhysicalDisks The setting to add new physical disks to the virtualdisk. For high-capacity expansion enclosures, specify the enclosure ID value, the drawer ID value, and the slot ID value for the physical disk. For low-capacity expansion enclosures, specify theenclosure ID value and the slot ID value for thephysical disk. Enclosure ID values are 0 to 99.Drawer ID values are 1 to 5. Slot ID values are 0 to31. Enclose the enclosure ID value, drawer IDvalue, and the slot ID value in parentheses. Use thisparameter with the addCapacity parameter if youneed to specify additional physical disks toaccommodate the new size. This parameter is notvalid for disk pool virtual disks or for thin virtualdisks. Each disk pool must be created from a minimumof 11 physical disks specified. There is no upwardlimit of physical disks supported in a single diskpool, but the number cannot exceed the numberof physical disks supported on the storage array.cacheFlushModifier The maximum amount of time that data for thevirtual disk stays in cache before the data is flushedto physical storage. Valid values are listed in theNotes section.cacheReadPrefetch The setting to turn on or turn off cache readprefetch. To turn off cache read prefetch, set thisparameter to FALSE. To turn on cache readprefetch, set this parameter to TRUE.cacheWithoutBatteryEnabled The setting to turn on or turn off caching withoutbatteries. To turn on caching without batteries, setthis parameter to TRUE. To turn off cachingwithout batteries, set this parameter to FALSE.mediaScanEnabled The setting to turn on or turn off media scan forthe virtual disk. To turn on media scan, set thisparameter to TRUE. To turn off media scan, set thisparameter to FALSE. (If media scan is disabled atthe storage array level, this parameter has noeffect.)replicationCacheEnabled The setting to turn on or turn off the replicationcache. To turn on the replication cache, set thisparameter to TRUE. To turn off the replicationcache, set this parameter to FALSE.modificationPriority The priority for virtual disk modifications while thestorage array is operational. Valid values arehighest, high, medium, low, or lowest.316
