Troubleshooting 8-59 BIOS/FW UpdatingThis menu allows you to update the software module such as BIOS and firmware of theserver by using the update disk (3.5-inch floppy disk) that is distributed from NECcustomer service representative.After restarting the system, an update program is started automatically from floppy disk,and the various BIOS and firmware programs are updated.IMPORTANT: Do not turn off the server while the update program isrunning. If the update processing is discontinued, the system becomesunable to start. ROM-DOS startup FDCreates a support disk for starting the ROM-DOS system. Test and diagnosticsExecute various tests on the server system to check if the server functions are normal andif the connection between the server and additional board is normal.After the Test and diagnostics is executed, a system check program assigned to eachmodel starts. See Chapter 7 for details. System ManagementThe parameters of BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) are set for remote controland alert.This menu's function is the same as the "System Management" of the "MaintenanceUtility".
