Chapter 6: Device Management117Managing KVM Target Servers (Port Page)This Port page opens when you select a port from the Port Configurationpage that is connected to a target server. From this page, you can makepower associations and change the Port Name to something moredescriptive.A server can have up to four power plugs that you can associate with thepower strip. In this page, you can define those associations so that youcan power on, power off, and power cycle the server from the PortAccess page, as shown below.Note: To use this feature, you must have a Raritan Dominion PX powerstrip attached to the device. See Connecting the Power Strip.To access a port configuration:1. Choose Device Settings > Port Configuration. The Port Configurationpage opens.2. Click the Port Name for the port you want to edit.Note: The Power Port 1 link is enabled only when a Raritan power strip isconnected to the KX II-101-V2 and configured. Otherwise, the link isdisabled.Renaming a PortTo change the port name:1. Enter a descriptive name, such as the name of the target server. Thename can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters and can includespecial characters.Note: Do not use apostrophes for the Port Name.2. Click OK.
