If a user telnets to anXRN fabric, only the switch connecting with the network of the telnet user responds to the telnet request,and this switch is the current switch. You can use the display xrn-fabric command to identify whichdevice is the current device in an XRN fabric.When you change the unit ID of the current switch, note the following:z If the modified unit ID is not used in the XRN fabric, the system sets its priority to 5 and saves it inthe Flash memory of the current switch.z If the modified unit ID is being used, the system prompts you to confirm if you really want to changethe unit ID. If you choose to change it, the existing unit ID is replaced and the priority is set to 5. Theoriginal device which uses this unit ID will be auto-numbered again. Then you can use the fabricsave-unit-id command to save the modified unit ID into the Flash memory of the current switch.z If auto-numbering is selected, the system sets the unit priority to 10. You can use the fabricsave-unit-id command to save the modified unit ID into the Flash memory of the current switch.By default, the unit ID of a switch that belongs to no XRN fabric is 1. After a switch is added to an XRNfabric, it is automatically numbered through FTM function.
