InstallationThe procedure below details how to install the DressPack floor. Also refer to thecurrent circuit diagram according to References on page 8 and the Spare partson page 189 chapter.NoteActionDANGERTurn off all:• electric power supply• hydraulic pressure supply• air pressure supplyto the robot, before entering the safe-guarded space.1CAUTIONThe cable package is sensitive to mechan-ical damage. Handle it with care in order toavoid damaging the cabling or the connect-ors.2The different types are shown in sectionConfiguration and connections ofDressPack floor on page 108.Determine which type of installation is tobe done.Study the circuit diagram to decide whichcables to connect.3Make sure:• no floor weld cable is routed alongsignal cabling to minimize the riskof interference.• the duct/trench floor is free fromsand and other contamination. Thisis to reduce the risk of damagingthe cable insulation.• no cables or hoses rub against anysharp corners which might damagethem.Whenever possible, run all cables/hosesin cable ducts or trenches. Make sure thesemeet the required standards.4Minimum bending radius is approximately10x the cable or hose diameter.Do not bend or twist any cable or hose ex-cessively.5Make sure all cable straps are tight enoughto prevent the cable package from movingin any undesired way.6Some versions include industrial buses.Select which CP/CS cabling (customerpower/customer signals) to be used.7See circuit diagram and the Spare partson page 189 chapter.Continues on next pageProduct manual - DressPack IRB 5710 1093HAC082052-001 Revision: D© Copyright 2022-2024 ABB.
