3.12.2 Inspection, DressPack floorGeneralIn order to ensure adequate life of the equipment, it is vital that the cables andhoses are properly installed and operated correctly, with their movement patternswell within the acceptable limits.This instruction details how to inspect the DressPack floor installation in this regard.Procedure, process cable packageThis section details each inspection to be carried out, not necessarily in anyparticular order unless stated.NoteActionMake sure that the cable package is prop-erly connected at the robot base as well asat the other end.1Make sure that no hoses or cables, or partsthereof, are routed in such a way that theyare subjected to wear, for example hosesbeing run over by fork lifts etc.2Make sure that no cables or hoses rubagainst any sharp corners which mightdamage them.3Make sure all connection points are welltightened and sealed in order to avoid leaks.NoteIf the M12 Ethernet/PROFINET connectoris not tightened correctly, there is a risk thatthe connector can loosen and the cableshield gets disconnected, which will requireretightening with the correct torque tools.For secure connection, always tighten withcorrect torque and by using proper torquetool, e.g. assembly tool SAC BIT M12-D15and torque screwdriver TSD 04 SAC withpreset torque of 0.4 Nm.4Product manual - DressPack IRB 5710 1113HAC082052-001 Revision: D© Copyright 2022-2024 ABB.
